It grew from a profound near-death experience that forever reshaped the way we saw life. In its wake came a quiet but undeniable knowing—that life is precious, dreams are meant to be made real, and the greatest legacy we leave is how we choose to live and share our lives with others.
What began as a vision slowly unfolded into a journey that led us to North Kohala, where we found not just a piece of land, but a place that felt like home. Here, surrounded by the beauty of Hawaiʻi, we planted trees, built a home with intention and care, and created a place where others could step away from the noise, reconnect with nature, and simply remember what matters most.

Built to Last
Stargate Farm was built with the belief that true quality is found in the details—both seen and unseen. Every decision was guided by a simple question: “Will this still serve our family and our guests decades from now?”
Inspired by the warmth and openness of Balinese architecture, the home was thoughtfully designed to bring the beauty of Hawaiʻi indoors while creating spaces that feel both expansive and welcoming. Panoramic ocean views, soaring wood ceilings, and private bedroom wings invite guests to gather together while still enjoying peaceful moments of their own.
Throughout the home you’ll find timeless natural materials chosen for both beauty and longevity, including Turkish Silverado travertine, striking Eclipse granite, handcrafted copper sinks and fixtures, and custom finishes that honor the character of the island. Behind the walls, the same philosophy continued with hurricane and earthquake standards, copper plumbing, extra insulation, and the kind of craftsmanship that isn’t always visible—but is felt every day.
We didn’t build Stargate simply for today. We built it to become a place where families return, memories are made, and generations can continue gathering for years to come.
North Kohala
The place We Call Home
There is something different about North Kohala.
Life moves a little slower here. The roads are quieter, the skies feel bigger, and the beauty of Hawaiʻi unfolds in a way that invites you to pause, breathe, and truly take it all in.
This remarkable corner of Hawaiʻi Island is rich in history and deeply connected to the island’s heritage. It is the birthplace of King Kamehameha I and home to dramatic ocean cliffs, rolling green pastures, sacred cultural sites, charming plantation towns, and some of the most breathtaking coastal scenery in the islands.
When we first discovered this place, we knew we had found more than land—we had found home.
It is here that Stargate Farm continues to grow, surrounded by a community that values stewardship, connection, and aloha.
We are grateful to share this extraordinary place with every guest who visits and hope you’ll come to love North Kohala as much as we do.
OUr invitation
Long before Stargate welcomed its first guests, it began as a dream to create a place where people could step away from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with what matters most. We envisioned an intimate sanctuary where meaningful conversations, shared experiences, and the beauty of nature could inspire new beginnings and remind us that dreams are meant to be lived.
As life unfolded, we realized that sharing Stargate as a hosted FarmStay was the best way to bring that vision to life while preserving the peaceful, personal nature of this place. It allows us to welcome a small number of guests at a time, offering the privacy, space, and genuine hospitality that have always been at the heart of our dream.
We don’t see our guests as people simply passing through. We hope to welcome kind-hearted people who value nature, meaningful connection, and the slower rhythm of life we’ve created here. Many arrive as guests, but our hope is that they leave feeling like part of the extended Stargate family and return again and again as this story continues to unfold.
