The Vision
Stargate Farm was born from a profound near-death experience and a spiritual awakening that forever changed the course of our lives. What began as a deeply personal journey became a calling — to unite organic farming with universal truth, remembrance, healing, and human connection.
We didn’t just arrive at this vision by chance. It was uncovered through years of inner transformation, reflection, and a deep reconnection to what truly matters. That journey led us to North Kohala with a desire to steward the land with reverence, grow nourishing food for Hawai‘i, and create a space where others could slow down, reconnect, and remember their own connection to nature, spirit, and each other.
Today, Stargate continues to evolve as both a working farm and boutique farmstay — rooted in nature, thoughtful hospitality, and a genuine love for the island we now call home.
The Farm: From seed to soul, a promise unfolding
Early Chapter
Stargate Farm is still in its early unfolding — a growing farm rooted in stewardship, nourishment, and care for the land.
As the orchards continue to mature, new chapters are steadily taking shape throughout the property: expanding irrigation, planting additional trees, and thoughtfully building spaces that support both the land and the guest experience.
Our sister property, New Hope Farm, already provides seasonal produce, fresh eggs, fruit, honey, and other offerings shared during your stay. Over time, Stargate’s own orchards and gardens will continue joining that cycle of abundance and connection to the land.
Guests visiting during these early years become part of that unfolding story — witnessing the quiet evolution of a farm being built with intention, patience, and deep respect for Hawai‘i.
The Build
Stargate Farm was not simply purchased or assembled — it was built from the ground up through vision, faith, and an extraordinary amount of hands-on work.
After choosing Hawai‘i as the place where we would begin again, we surrendered much of our former life and invested fully in the dream. We acquired the equipment, tools, and skills needed to shape the land ourselves, creating everything from the private entrance road through the gulch to the home, infrastructure, orchards, and farm that continue to evolve today.
Inspired by our travels, the home was designed around a Bali philosophy we deeply admired: creating spaces that invite nature in while also providing privacy, connection, and room to breathe. The result is a collection of separate living spaces connected by a central gathering area — allowing guests to come together while still enjoying their own retreat within the home.
Every material was selected with intention. Silverado Travertine from Turkey, Eclipse Granite from Brazil, copper finishes, granite slab showers, vaulted wood ceilings, enhanced insulation, and thoughtful structural engineering were all chosen to create a home that feels both beautiful and enduring. Built to exceed modern standards for strength, comfort, and longevity, Stargate was designed with future generations in mind.
Throughout the process, every wall, room, and space was blessed with deep intention, gratitude, and Reiki energy. Sacred symbols were placed within the walls as a lasting reflection of the intention behind the home — to create a place rooted in stewardship, connection, nourishment, and care.
More than a construction project, Stargate became a living expression of our belief that what is built with love, patience, and purpose can continue serving others long after we are gone. Our hope is that Stargate remains a place of gathering, growth, and renewal for generations to come.
The Welcome
Stargate is a private farmstay, with one of the owners living quietly on-property as a mindful steward of the land. His gentle presence ensures that every guest is cared for with grace and intention, while the home itself remains a sanctuary of complete privacy. Attentive when needed yet unseen in your moments of rest, the host tends the orchards and grounds so you may experience the stillness, beauty, and peace that define Stargate.
The Offering
From farm-fresh seasonal fruits, eggs and Reiki-infused honey to spa robes and star-filled skies, every element of Stargate is designed to nourish both body and spirit. Guests are invited to slow down, reconnect with nature, and rediscover the sacred rhythm of life. Each detail — thoughtful, intentional, and inspired — reflects the devotion poured into this land. More than a stay, Stargate is an invitation to live with passion and purpose, to awaken the senses, and to experience heaven on earth.
Kapa'au
The Land We Call Home
At the northern tip of Hawai‘i Island lies Kapa‘au — a village of legends and lineage, where time slows and the land remembers. Surrounded by ocean cliffs, lush valleys, and sacred heiau, it is the birthplace of King Kamehameha I and the heart of North Kohala. It is here, on this revered soil, that Stargate Farm takes root. To stay with us is to share in the spirit of Kapa‘au — a place where history, culture, and aloha breathe through every breeze. We are humbled to call this land home, and grateful to welcome you into its embrace.
Service & Purpose
Our first and deepest intention has always been to serve — to remain connected to Source and the earth, and to help restore a thriving local food system for Hawai‘i. The retreat is our bridge: it allows us to sustain the sacred work of farming while opening our gates to those seeking rest, beauty, and connection.
Farming may not be the most lucrative path, yet it is one of life’s purest foundations. By choosing organic practices and honoring food as medicine, we do our small part to nourish body, land, and spirit — fulfilling our mission of creating more love and light upon this earth.
